Writing About My Testimony

Introduction

Every individual has a unique story, a testimony that reflects their journey through life and how God helped them through it. For me, writing about my testimony is not just an act of sharing; it’s a way to honor the transformative power of faith and the grace of God. My experiences, from the depths of despair to the heights of redemption, serve as a beacon of hope for others who may find themselves in darkness.

About the Author

My name is Lillian Rivera, and I am an Evangelist who encountered the Lord in a small-town church, receiving a miracle that changed my life forever. With degrees from Boston University and Southern New Hampshire University, I have cultivated a passion for storytelling that resonates with those seeking inspiration. My mission is clear: I want everyone I meet to know the Jesus who transformed my life.

My Journey

I grew up in New Haven, Connecticut, where my life took many unexpected turns. At 15, I walked away from God and my calling, leading to a series of challenges that included dropping out of high school and falling into toxic relationships. I lived as a man in lesbian relationships and ultimately served 17.5 years of a 20-year prison sentence. During this time, I embraced a gang lifestyle until an encounter with God in Isabela, Puerto Rico, transformed me completely. Today, I am happily married to a wonderful man named Luis, we are ordained chaplains and dedicated servants in our church. Together, we work to help those trapped in darkness find their way back to the light. My book, Decisions, is a testament to the transformative power of God in my life and serves as an encouragement for others on their journeys.

The Power of Sharing Testimonies

Writing about my testimony allows me to reflect on my past while also providing hope to others. It’s essential to share not only the victories but also the struggles that led to those victories. In Decisions, I recount how God’s grace reached me at my lowest point and how His love continues to guide my path. Sharing personal stories fosters connection and understanding among people from all walks of life. It helps break down barriers and encourages others to open up about their own experiences. Each testimony is a reminder that transformation is possible, no matter how dire the circumstances may seem.

Upcoming Projects

I am currently working on an untitled book that explores themes of marriage, ministry, and waiting on God's timing. This project aims to provide insights into building strong relationships grounded in faith while navigating life’s challenges. And of course tells the story of how I met my husband and how God used him to further transform me.

Conclusion

Writing about my testimony is more than just recounting events; it’s about sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ with others. I invite you to join me on this journey of faith, healing, and transformation. Together, we can inspire one another and shine light into the darkest corners of our lives.
